    I know know after a long run all you want to do is crumple in a heap, but doing a 5 min cool down including a few static stretches will add value to your overall running fitness, a short cool down will prevent D.O.M.S (Delayed Onset Muscle Sourness) it also promotes recovery which in turn will allow you to recover for your next run, and the main reason for doing a cool down is to help prevent injury.
