Ok, 5 days to go until the big day, I know Carol will be posting out some useful information and tips for the day, shortly.
If there is one piece of advice I can give you it would be don’t go off to fast (consistency is the key) treat the first mile at least as part of your warm up and then slowly grown into your run, run/walk. As you know its a pancake flat course so pacing yourself is less off a challenge (as long as its not blowing a gale) its an out & back course, so what ever your plan is run or run/walk make sure you undercook the first half, you can always increase the pace as you head for home if you are feel strong, but going of to fast early doors gives you nowhere to go. plus running this way makes the run a much more enjoyable experience. and if you cross the finish line and say I think I can go quicker next time then Great !
