First of all well done to everyone on last night again an excellent achievement from everyone.The first two weeks of the programme are not the easiest as your bodies have to adjust to using muscles that perhaps have not seen to much work for a little while. It doesn’t matter how fit anyone is as soon as you try different exercises we all get new aches and groans. Rest assured they do and the muscles become stronger which in turn helps your joints and this in turn will help your general well being.
This weeks homework should be :-
Start with a little 5 minutes walk for both short and long run just to warm up. Also remember when we say run you should still be able to talk if you are with a running buddy.
SHORT RUN = No more than 25 minutes in total . 2 minutes running 2 minutes walking. For those that feel they can this can be increased to 3 minutes running and 2 minutes walking. Please though only do this if you feel good.
LONG RUN :- 55 minutes in total again exactly as above 2 minutes running and 2 minutes walking. If you feel good then can be increased to 3 minutes running 2 minutes walking. Don’t be afraid to start with the 3 minutes running 2 minutes walking and if you feel tired halfway through the whole session drop back to the 2 minutes run and 2 minutes walking.
